PM virtually inaugurates 4 new 100W FM Transmitters in Telangana

Hyderabad, Apr 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday virtually inaugurated four new 100 Watt FM Transmitters in Telangana, aimed at enhancing radio connectivity in aspirational districts and border areas.

Modi inaugurated the four new 100W FM transmittes as part of the inauguration of 91 new 100 Watt FM Transmitters by him across the country.

The four new FM Transmitters are located in Nalgonda, Devarakonda, Ramagundam, and Sirpur, each with a radial coverage of up to 20 kilometers. The new FM transmitters underwent trials in February.

The expansion of FM coverage on the 100.1 MHz frequency will provide better coverage in Nalgonda, Sirpur, Devarakonda, and Ramagundam areas.

The All India Radio Hyderabad will broadcast informational and entertainment programs through these transmitters.

Several dignitaries, local representatives, officials from district administration, and All India Radio officials attended the inauguration event at each transmitter site.

Special LED screens were installed at the FM sites for public viewing of the Prime Minister's speech during the inauguration.
